Eva is a fully accredited psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, families and groups at Tree of Life Clinic. She specialises in trauma, eating disorders, body image, gender, psychosexual and relationship issues. Eva has worked extensively with relational and developmental trauma, complex trauma, sexual abuse and sexual assault. She offers therapy in Eglish and Greek.
Prior to setting up Tree of Life Clinic, she was working as a Clinical Director for an eating disorder clinic in London and as a Clinical Manager for a women's therapy centre. Her extensive experience of working in numerous mental health organisations, NHS hospitals, prisons, eating disorder and addiction treatment programmes coupled with her diverse training have enabled her to develop her own unique approach to working therapeutically; a holistic and creative one which addresses the whole person. Eva has extensive experience of delivering in depth individual and couples therapy, as well as facilitating therapy groups on trauma, sexuality, relationships and body image. Eva is a passionate advocate for and teacher of mindfulness meditation and regularly interweaves this into her work. She is committed to her professional development and she regularly undertakes CPD training. She is currently receiving training in Psychosexual Therapy.
As an integrative and creative psychotherapist, she draws on a wide range of modalities in order to create the right therapeutic approach for each individual. Her clinical approach integrates talking therapies, depth psychology, psychodrama and creativity, using a wide variety of creative tools, such as action methods, imagery, arts therapies and visualisation. Eva engages her clients with a trauma informed apporach, and as a creative psychotherapist, she incorporates creative and experiential therapy in combination with a cognitive-behavioural approach, where appropriate. She also draws on depth psychology and the work of Carl Jung, where she utilises dreams, metaphors, archetypes as a way of helping her clients deepen their relationship with their unconscious.
Considering the therapeutic relationship central to her work, she provides a safe space in which personal conflicts and problems can be explored in trust and confidence.
As a Life and Executive Coach, Eva works with individuals, leaders and teams supporting them to go through challening transitions, reconnect to their inner values, cultivate emotional intelligence and meet their full potential. Her coaching approach is holistic, creative and systemic, taking into consideration all areas of an individual's life, as well as systemic structures when working with organisations.
